Buckhorn is surprisingly full of weird and wonderful folklore, including the “Giant’s Heart” rock within the “Lake of Spirits.” While the lake is landlocked, with no feeder river, the “Heart” appears to beat from ripples across the rock and water flows toward Sandy Creek.
